‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ Comes To Life At The Haverford School

HAVERFORD — The Haverford School Upper School drama department presents Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall.
The production is set in Central Park in present day New York City. The story of four young lovers lost in the forest, has everything: mistaken identity, bungled magical pranks, and mischievous fairies. The play is weaves together three separate stories surrounding the impending marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta, portrayed as leaders of upper class society.
The cast includes students from The Haverford School, The Agnes Irwin School, The Baldwin School, Merion Mercy Academy, and Conestoga High School.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved by calling Matthew Cloran at (610) 642-4583, ext. 1386.
